CityReach Ministries
CityReach assists the community by:


  • Emergency food relief. We provide food on an emergency basis (first time as a walk-in). We currently serve from 450-500 families per month with free food.

  • Free breads & pastries daily (except Thursdays) from 9:30am – 4pm.

  • Free Food Distribution twice a month. These distributions are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

  • We serve our local social workers with food for their clients on Wednesdays following our bi-monthly distribution from 9am-12 noon.

  • Food distribution days also provide our clients the opportunity to receive FREE clothing, shoes, household articles, children’s articles, etc. (as they become available and until supplies last). Friends of the ministry provide these donations.

  • Job leads, access to computer for job related searches/application (by appointment).

  • Referrals to other agencies

  • Free monthly educational classes with aim of educating families in a diversity of areas. Most of these workshops are needs-based. Some of our past seminars include: financial training, budgeting, domestic violence, immigration, nutritional & wellness, effective communication, inter-personal relationship skills, and more… Additionally, local professionals and experts that partner with us conduct most of these workshops.

  • Sponsoring Medical and Dental Screenings.

  • Hosting a Back-to-School Backpack Distribution.

  • Thanksgiving Day Turkey Distribution.

  • Christmas Toy Drive and Giveaway.​

CityReach Ministries (CR) is a faith-based, non–profit social services agency that PureHeart partners with to minister to the needs of the disadvantaged in our community. CR is dedicated to assisting low-income families in South Miami-Dade County by providing food, clothing and other basic necessities. CR also provides job assistance, spiritual counseling, capacity-building training. We offer a variety of workshops that reinforce necessary family values and skills, health and emotional strengthening, and basic relational and skills development. Additionally, we network with other social services agencies in the community and refer our clients to those organizations based on the needs.
