“The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed.”  Hudson Taylor.

For years PureHeart has supported missionaries (some to Asia, Haiti, Russia) and now the Dominican Republic. Christian church in Miami missionary church

PHCC - Missions

Currently there are about 40 adults, along with many children that gather for prayer and services held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

We plan our annual missions trip to this area, typically in the summer.  While there we provide spiritual support, medical aid, food and clothing.  During the year we have a wonderful pastoral team, Edwin Colon and Mary Torres in charge of ministering and training upcoming leaders.

PureHeart in Dominican Republic

With a vision to be more actively involved in fulfilling the Great Commission, PureHeart in partnership with Compassion in Action, venture out in faith and purchased an acre of land in August, 2013.  In May 2014 we dedicated our first daughter church in "El Guayabal", Dominican Republic.  El Guayabal is a very poor agricultural zone in the mountains from San Juan de la Maguana (45 minutes drive from San Juan). The building there is multi-purpose.  First, is the only evangelical church in the area where the Word of God is preached. It is a center for assistance with food, clothing and medicine.  It is also a storm shelter that can accommodate up to 200 people during tropical storms and hurricanes.  Additionally the building will be used for vocational training and capacity building workshops.

In March, 2014 four (4) additional acres of land next to the church.  Our vision is to build a retreat house that can host ministry and medical teams as they bring their services and humanitarian aid to the area.   At the moment our pastors Edwin & Mary have planted corn in the empty fields to assist the community with some food.
