How it all started...
PureHeart Christian Center began in July 1994 when a small group of seven families gathered at the Courtyard Marriott near Miami International Airport for its very first worship service. Armed with a Sony boom box, a few CDs, an overhead projector, and a passion to serve God, those early believers laid the foundation for what would become a thriving church family.
In the early years, PureHeart met in homes during the week and held Sunday worship services in various hotels throughout the Miami airport area. With no permanent location, the congregation traveled wherever space was available, embracing the spirit of a true "pilgrim church."
After nearly two years, God opened the door for PureHeart to rent space from a Seventh-day Adventist church in Sweetwater. As the church continued to grow, its mission remained unchanged: to reach those who were not actively connected to a church and help people develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Over the years, God has transformed countless lives through the ministry of PureHeart. People have found salvation, experienced healing, restored marriages, and discovered freedom through the power of God's love and grace.
In 1997, the church moved its services to a warehouse district location, and in September 1999, an opportunity arose to assume the lease of the facility where PureHeart worships today. Stepping out in faith, the congregation embraced the challenge, and on January 2, 2000, held its first service in the current building.

Expanding the vision...
In 2002, PureHeart launched CityReach Ministries, a community outreach dedicated to serving families in need throughout Miami-Dade County. Since then, the ministry has provided food and essential resources to tens of thousands of individuals and families.
Pastor Damon joined the ministry team in 2004 and became an important part of PureHeart's continued growth and vision. Soon afterward, the church purchased five acres of land at SW 200th Street and 147th Avenue for its future church home.
In April 2013, PureHeart expanded its outreach beyond South Florida by building a church in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. Since then, the congregation has continued to support that ministry through regular mission trips and ongoing partnerships.

Where we are headed...
Each year we get closer to paying off, our land or and move into our next stage of constructing a building. Dream with me now… our own church building with a dining hall, our own day-care, a CityReach warehouse that will provide food and clothes to the needy as well as other ministries, a playground for children, that includes basketball courts.
